30 Days of Shipping Meme - Day 11
Since it's Friday again and I'm sure I'll be too busy to get to these this weekend I'm going to do Saturday and Sunday's meme today too.
Favourite literary ship?
My favourite literary ship happens to be my very first literary ship, Harry and Ginny from Harry Potter.
I spent one october reading the first 4 Harry Potter books one after the other and I remember thinking as I was reading them that it would be cute if something came from Ginny's little girl crush on Harry. This was before I even thought to check out the online fandom. Then the 5th book came out and I was hooked. Ginny had grown up so much seemed to have gotten over her crush on him, and Harry actually seemed to notice her! I loved that Ginny (as well as Luna and Neville) had joined their little group and not only that but she kicked ass doing so. All of this was great inspiration for the online shippers and there was no shortage of fics for me to get my 'Orange Crush' shipper fix.
I have been in love with them ever since. The one thing I was disappointed with was that in the epilogue they only had 3 kids.... I always envisioned Harry wanting a brood of kids, lol, but I guess being the youngest of 7 Ginny wouldn't be keen on putting her kids through that crazy life.
