Good ol' Mrs. Williams from 10th grade English said you may only have one true friend in your life. The second she said that I vowed to be that friend. I help people I don't even know. I don't pretend to know everything. I know a lot less than I'd like, but if I have something to offer it's yours. If I don't, I'll still try.
Example, I'm horrible with directions, especially on campus here at UCF and I still try and point people in the right direction and I'm the one to ask if they're lost.
A kid today was nervous about writing for the school paper and course load for news reporting. I have not experience outside of the school paper. I came in knowing nothing and doing my best. This kid is going through what I went through. Why not help him? It sucks being alone.
