Well folks,
Second semester here at good ole UCF and my classes are kickin' my butt. I've got a midterm due this weekend, though, hopefully I'll have it ready to turn in tonight. 9 out of 12 pages in counting.
While I am currently enjoying attendance to the school of my chosen field of journalism, I thus far find the classes challenge yet unsatisfying due to the fact that a CC education rates me barely above that of someone raised by wolves. I can hold a fork, I am a successful biped, but if you ask me what a predicate is the light bulb over my head grows dim.
Contrary to this handicap, I am a contributing writer for the Central Florida Future, the school paper. I have eight articles published with the Future to date, the latest in today's paper. If you are interested in reading it go to www.centralfloridafuture.com, click on news, and you will see my by-line.
I am extremely proud of this article. It took me three weeks to get permission with Disney to interview on the premises, it took another two weeks for the article to be published due to SGA presidential elections, and due to the fact that an annoying little mite of a copy-editor tried to destroy it and was unsuccessful as a result of my bitching, my work was published unscathed. Hooray for bitching.
Tonight, I am invited to a mini-CC reunion. Interestingly enough, with a few alumn I have never come in contact with.
Tomorrow, I am driving to St. Augustine to celebrate the birth of a dear friend named Jenni, who I met at SJRCC.
And Monday, I get to have my last surgery... Can't wait to get all this crap over with...
The span of my Spring Break shall detail recovery and possible boredom in Keystone.
Love and miss all of you,
Whitney
