i'm still failing as far as pictures go. i guess it's that bringing a camera out in new york city doesn't consistently strike me as the smartest idea. also, my computer's still broken and shows no signs of miraculously fixing itself.
otherwise, things are still going great. timeout is especially awesome, although i have to say the thrill is wearing off. i just hate being at any workplace with nothing to do...such as right now. what makes up for all of the annoying down-time, however, is the fact that my ex-cap (extended caption) got published last week with my name printed underneath. this week i did the "Don't Miss" section and it appears to be going through copy-editing with very little changes.
club monaco's also going well. i've been working a lot with no days and barely even a morning off for the past two weeks. this wednesday, though, i get the day all to myself. i'm only working there thursday 8-5 this week since i leave for jacksonville, FL for my cousin's wedding on friday morning.
speaking of the wedding, the weekend before last, steven, ali, and i walked down to screamin mimi's where i found a 1970's neon yellow marilyn monroe dress that i plan to pair with 3-inch gold heels for the wedding. it may be just a tad much, but everybody knows that i'm coming down from new york. it has to be somewhat expected...
last night, steven's friend julie got us into the most incredible upright citizen's brigade show...maybe ever. we got to go right in before anyone waiting in the reserved or standby line even had a chance. VIPs if you will. not only were Amy Polar, Horatio Sanz, and the "annoying cell phone guy" present for this AssCat2000 show, they were less than 20 feet from my nose throughout. YAY.
things i'm looking forward to: the weekend after i get back from florida, steven and i are seeing anthony and the johnsons. the night prior to that, (hopefully) meg and i are seeing regina spektor. yay to both. yay also to sigur ros with maria, ray, and steven on september 15th. yay.
