a few things
the job's going ok--it's 8am to 5pm, which is insanely long to sit at a desk, wow. it's kinda stressful and initially confusing since i don't magically know how everything works there. i hate messing up, but i know it's a part of starting somewhere new and pretty much inevitable. the girls that work there are really cool and young although the bosses in the back rooms are quite scary. from talking with these girls all day i think my southern accent has increased dramatically. this is scary for me.
i saw PJ Harvey on Letterman Friday night and i think i might finally be convinced. a few of you will be happy to know that i'm very much loving her after seeing her perform live. her voice is phenomenal and i think you have to see her use it onstage like that to really get the fact. sooo, i downloaded Uh Huh Her and it HURTS it's so good.
my grandpa and his friend are here from Joplin, Mo for the weekend since the golf course and clubhouse just opened out at my lakehouse. they drove about 10 hours to golf for 2 days. my sister and i went out there last night to eat with the fam at the club--it was incredible. i was so impressed. we're going back today too.
i got a new cell phone last tuesday while i was out with viv. it ROCKS. it's a camera AND video phone and plays Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs when it rings. thrilling.
