my turn.
i'm happy.
missed school yesterday
still using the ever-oblivious ploy "i wasn't here monday don't talk to me"
going veg.etarian--
despite my mother. i really don't understand. the woman never cooks. we're ordering chinese food thursday night and she asks me what i want, so i ask her if they have anything decent without meat. she inquires further--(keep in mind i've given up red meat and she's just lately gotten over that) well because i want to become vegetarian. WHAT WHATDIDYOUSAY THAT'S RIDICULOUS. HOW AM I EVER GOING TO COOK YOU FOOD? YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO EAT WITH THE FAMILY AGAIN.
let me repeat. the woman never cooks.
my sister informed me this weekend that i am a hippy. oh, marisa? how so? well whitney, you wear your hair in a braid, shop at thrift stores, are politically aware (god forbid!), have a new-found love of all things vegetable, etc. (abby described this as being a "decent human being"--so are all decent people hippies or just not shitheads?) so according to the yuppie handbook, i meet all the qualifications of such a title.
sheesh, that was crude.
but-
she is a fool, if nothing else than in the comical sense.
and i have recently diagnosed myself with a certain rainbow complex. i realized while loading the latest shots from my digital camera that the only things i ever consistently take pictures of are rainbows, especially in these last few weeks, because of all the sunshowers (that i must say i rather enjoy). this is no ordinary picture-taking spree though, because i can't not take a picture of a rainbow when i perchance happen across one, be it that i am on a major highway at the time or not. a tad bit life-threatening. just a tad. well anyway, on this latest album, i have 3 consecutive shots of rainbows i caught while driving and then 4 pictures from the wedding. ealier today i was searching through older albums and realized i had 7 more shots of los arcos irises (oh i balled spanish.)
well anyway, here's one for the road, just because i have it on hand
much love.
