PERSPECTIVE
A friend from college was married this weekend in Chatham so I stayed on the farm instead of a hotel. I did not prepare myself for the weekend ahead of me, no time to think about what it would be like amidst so much stress at work and home.
It was delightful. Relaxing, quiet, slow--I am back in Buffalo now, reaping the calming effects of perspective.

And because my laptop is on the fritz, I can only post an older photo of Tessa at the moment. But she is as sweet in the picture above as she was yesterday morning when we sat on her bed and talked for hours. When she bought me a bar of chocolate for my drive home and a peony bush for my new house.
