Oh, this is heartbreaking!
There are so many things I like about this fic, so many beautiful lines.
And this one: 'Sirius realized that the reason Remus had never told him is because he had never asked.' I felt this one. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened a good bit.

The last three paragraphs... I cannot tell you how true it all sounds--the hopelessness, the anger, the sorrow, the... I can't even think of words.

Tucking this in my memories and reading more! :)
