All the Memories “Oh sorry!”
Oliver almost tumbled over a smaller body rounded the corridor and slammed into him. He grabbed the girl’s shoulders and pulled her backwards as he fired a Stupefy over her shoulder. The girl in her yellow robes yelped as she heard the thump of a Death Eater hitting the floor.
Wide brown eyes looked up at him. “Thanks, Oliver!”
Oliver smiled as he racked his brain. Who was she? She did look familiar. Ah, yes! Hannah-something, in Harry’s class; gone were the blonde pigtails, but it was her. “Hannah, right?” Oliver asked. She nodded. “Let’s go find the others.”
“I got separated from the other students,” Hannah explained, huffing slightly as they ran back the way she had come from. “How’d you get here?”
“It’s all over the wireless - I Apparated outside the gate as soon as I heard. A lot of good witches and wizards were out there too.”
“That’s good; we really need-” Hannah snapped her mouth closed as they stopped suddenly after seeing a group of four Death Eaters ahead. They were walking into a room and hadn’t seen Oliver and Hannah yet.
Holding completely still, the pair waited until their enemies had entered the room before allowing themselves to breathe. They walked softly down the hall, hoping to take them by surprised. However, they heard a loud crash, followed by several shouts and the zipping sound of spells being cast.
Oliver ran ahead, wand raised, but stopped suddenly at the doorway. “Ron!” he greeted happily. Hannah peered around him and saw the four damaged and disabled Death Eaters. “Well done, mate!”
Ron shrugged, “Wasn’t all me. Luna throws a good shoe.”
With a rustle, Luna Lovegood pulled herself out from under an end tabled she had rolled under and ended upside down. “Hello!” she said cheerfully. “Did we get all of them?”
Hannah responded wide-eyed, “Appears so.”
“Good,” stated Luna matter-of-factly. “Best be off then, we’ve got more baddies to catch!”
Ron gave Luna a look, then shook his head and asked, “Don’t you think we should take them along too?” He nodded towards the pair standing in the doorway.
“Oh, are you here to fight as well?” Oliver and Hannah nodded. Luna clapped her hands together. “Wonderful!”
The four headed back into the hall. “I think everyone’s trying to meet up in the Great Hall,” Hannah informed them.
“Good. Ron, you’d better take point, Oliver, you take the rear, and Hannah and I will protect your middles.”
Ron looked hesitant, but Oliver spoke up, “Good plan, Luna. Let’s get going.”
Hannah felt a lot safer with Ron and Oliver nearby and with Luna’s small hand wrapped around her elbow. In fact, she felt ready for almost anything.
