Yuyuan Garden

How to get there : get on Metro line 10 (light purple line) and get off at the Yuyuan Garden station.

Yuyuan Garden is one of the most famous tourist spots in Shanghai and I would recommend that you visit this place at least once. Once during the day and the second at night. Both times offer different types of views and activities.

What you will find here : a temple, a garden, street food, souvenirs (especially tea and antiques), night market.

Daytime : this is when you get to visit the City God Temple 城隍庙 (cheng huang miao), explore the garden, try out assorted street food and shop for souvenirs. The temple is the largest Taoist temple in the city.

Entry to the garden is free, but you have to pay a fee to enter the temple. Can't remember the price exactly, it is either RMB 15 or RMB 30.

Night : enjoy night lights surrounding the traditional building architecture and shop at the night market.

The exterior.

Inside; the garden view.

Xiao Long Bao! 16pcs for RMB 20. Considered expensive, but they taste better than the cheap ones.

Haha. Sorry, couldn't help but put this up. The guys behind are my friends Sandy, Khoo and Sean.
