It is so awesome to truly experience happiness! And now that I have experienced it first hand, I face the task of defining it if possible. Can one define happiness? Is there only one definition? Boethius once said: "True and perfect happiness is that which makes a man self-sufficient, strong, worthy of respect, glorious and joyful." And that it is "a good that which once obtained, leaves nothing more to be desired...a state made perfect by the presence of everything that is good, a state, which all mortal men are striving to reach through different paths." I could philosophize all day about what happiness is, and though I may not accomplish much, it would be a day well spent. It is clear that happiness cannot be obtained through material good, though we do try. No matter how much good fortune is granted to you, bad fortune always follows. Thus, material goods are unreliable and earthly. True happiness does not fade, and so it cannot be obtained through thes earthly goods. So how does one reach this euphoric state of happiness? I cannot even begin to answer this question, and no answer is wrong. Think about it!
