Green Day show last night was awesome.
They played: Hitchin' a Ride, Minority, American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Brain Stew, Longview, Basket Case, St. Jimmy, Wake Me Up When September Ends (and dedicated it to Cindy Sheehan) as well as a cover of "We Are the Champions", and predictably closed with "Time of your Life".
In short, all their best/most popular songs.
However, they kept interrupting the songs with "HELLO, FORT LAUDERDALE!!! YOU'RE THE BEST!" and "I SAID HEEEEEEY-OOOOO" 'heeeeey-oooo'- type things. gr. And Billie Joe Armstrong hitting on his bandmates.
My ride's car (ok, fine. JEEP.) broke down at the Quik-E-Mart down on Johnson and 56th, less than a mile away from our house. At one point in the repair process, it started spraying this strange yellowish, noxious water all over the place. We got there too late to hear JEW. So, I've still never heard them. eh
25 bucks is too much for a shirt.
