Sooo apparently a few years ago, I had already disected my first entry. So that is the 2nd time that I have posted my very first post. I am such a winner!
Anywho... it is 3am and I am digesting french fries. Painfully.
I have been "vegetarian" since January 1, originally as part of a bet. My other friend, Mark, is the other side of the bet and he is not drinking anymore alcohol. Not that he was an alcoholic but he never really liked drinking anyways, so why not just stop completely? I think he is batshit crazy. There is never a reason to not drink alcohol again, ever. Why? Because I gave him a pass to drink on his birthday. There is always a reason in life to have a drink. Granted, he drank beer. If it was my birthday, it would be a nice cold glass of Pinot Grigio. No wonder he doesn't want to drink ever. He's drinking Corona.
Anyways, I am sort of in the same boat as Mark, as I never really ate that much meat anyways, so it wasn't a huge jump for me to become "vegetarian". BTW, I hate the word "vegetarian". I don't call myself that but for the purpose of this entry, I will.
The one thing I am craving though is a Big Mac. Not a sirloin steak or filet mignon, but a disgusting Big Mac. The taste of a Big Mac is something that can never be imitated by soy, wheat protein, tempeh, TVP or whatever else weirdo Frankenstein concoctions those vegans are using. So I go to McDicks now and again to get french fries. As if it is curbing that Big Mac craving. Maybe they spray a little Big Mac juice onto the fries? Haha. I dont know but it isn't working.
All in all, I will win this bet. After the bet is done, I will probably go on not eating meat. I can't do vegan though. I can do part-time vegan. Once there is a vegan equivalent to brie cheese, then maybe I will consider. Did you know that vegan cheese doesn't melt? And a block of vegan cheddar has a weird bubbly texture to it.
Anyways, to conclude. I am really happy that I am starting LJ again. It was so entertaining to re-read what I wrote in 2002, that it will be equally as amusing to read what I wrote, 10 years from now, in 2011.
