I attended last night at the local psychiatric hospital, a DBSA support group. I was very talkative because I felt like there were a lot of people who I could relate to. I think it is a good group for me to come to, to gain insight, provide some help to others who still suffer. My suffering brought on by Bipolar is minimal. Don't get me wrong. There are times when I feel like people in my family don't understand me, wondering why I do the things I do. Heck, sometimes I don't even get it. But something that I have learned is that one needs to listen to their bodies and their minds. When they are feeling suffocated, they need to go off and get some freedom and alone time. When one is feeling down on oneself, that's the perfect time to do something that they are good at or something that brings them joy.
