Inside joke with the mangs up there. I'll tell you about it some time.
A potentially fail of a day turned into win when said mangs plus Mario came over last night to celebrate
it_burns' belated SJFA over some pizza, Pepsi, beer and brandy.
0nostalgia0's niece was there (But if you knew her, she could be his nephew). This is pretty much how I enjoy my Saturday nights as I was never one who wanted to go out or be scene. The occasional gig here and there, but I it's way better to just keep it small and simple.
I've been tossing term "Jeepney Rock" around for quite some time. While there's no official definition for it, myself and
0nostalgia0 define it as the power ballads/awesomely bad rock songs that you're most likely ganna hear on a jeep or in a bus. If not, then it's clearly being played in a loudspeaker somewhere at a mall or at the office.
Right about the same time we came up with the term, we decided to compile an album of these songs. Finally got around to it last night but with so much ground to cover, this is still an incomplete list as we're trying to remember what it is we've heard on Jeepney and Bus radios.

Now initially Miko and I made this playlist just to amuse ourselves at how awesome these songs are. But last night the original planned evolved into something epic and something of a public service. This is what we plan to do: Once we've made the albums, we'll be making at least 5 extra copies of it. These copies will be on our person for at least one week and within that week
We will give copies of the album to the jeepney and bus drivers whose rides we choose to go on.
For reals. Srsly. While there are alot of things wrong with the drivers of public transportation in this country, I can't deny they've given us some of the guiltiest pleasures in music. And since it's inexpensive to reproduce CDs these days, we wanted to do this as a sort of "thanks" to the drivers of pulblic transportation for not only providing said public transportation for kabayans, but for popularizing cheesy yet pretty solid and hardcore ballads you could raise your lighters to. Or hog the karaoke booth for. When you're feeling particularly good, nothing says great more than the power ballads these folks popularized
I think we plan to sign those albums under the Toto Scorpion alias.
