So I'm officially a vegetarian, mostly for curiosity's sake, but also for health/enviromental reasons. No, I don't really care about the little animals, but I'd like my meat to be humanely kept, slaughtered and not stuffed full of hormones and antibiotics. Trying to buy said meat is expensive and almost impossible to ensure, so I might as well become vegetarian. I don't even like meat, so I don't know what took me so long. I'll still eat fish and eggs, so that might be considered cheating, but whatever. Milk and the other stuff counts too, vegan is too much work, and you have to take supplements. Something tells me that if you have to take supplements to be healthy on a diet, it's not a good idea, IMO though. Plus, the amount of pollution farm animals cause is amazing, I think it's like 18%, but don't quote me on that, I just vaguely remember it. I'll probably be more of a flexitarian (eats meat on rare occasions) because it's just so uncomfortable to ask someone if whatever they serve is vegetarian, or to turn food down.
Oh, does someone want to come with me to this:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=24660160219 I really want to go, and my mom will let me, but I don't really have anyone to go with as of now. I'm sure I can get someone to go with me from school, but are any of you guys going?
