Due to recent events, Pam's mood has been somewhat sour.
But she's trying to stay optimistic, because the doctor keeps saying how bad stress can be for the baby, and besides all that, they're decorating the nursery today, so that should be an activity that keeps her mind off of stress-inducing things.
It's taking a little maneuvering to convert one of the spare rooms into a nursery, but thanks to some of Jim's heavy lifting and willingness to paint the walls a gender-neutral color while Pam stood just outside the doorway and watched, they're now ready to do things like set up the crib.
Granted, the baby will be sleeping in their room for a little while after he or she is born, anyway, but it's good to have all the bases covered.
