Wow. That was awfully poetic, full of imagery, and so disturbingly good.

Crazily enough, my head-canon is somewhat similar to this one (except Yao bound her feet after Hong Kong was taken away).

This was incredible.

-blushes- Thank you... -shuffles feet, pokes fingers together Hinata fashion-

Actually, I got inspiration for this after looking at your fanart, specifically that double picture of Hong Kong in chains and Taiwan with her bound feet. With that in mind (as well as another picture of Hong Kong with birds), I just let this write itself (though I had to scoot up Taiwan's age a little because some things I just refuse to write).

I'm very glad you liked it! Thank you very much!

E-eh?? *blushes* Are you serious? Wow, I am...totally flattered that such a great fic came from those! Thank you so much for writing this with that in mind.

(While drawing that picture, I had the image that Korea watched, in horror, as a completely drugged up China ordered servants to have Taiwan's feet bound shortly after Hong Kong was taken away, and China muttering "Yes, now you won't run away. You won't leave me." Then scene cut to when Japan attacked China and then he sees this ...doll-like child on the chair and wonders why she isn't running.

"Is there any way I can run?" she says, lifting her skirt just so to show him the deformity wrapped in silk.)

Rambling...will stop now...

It helped me a lot while writing this (Because I've never written Taiwan before, except in a slightly joking fashion). The imagery struck me and sort of stayed. -smiles- As you can see, I'm fixated on images and imagery.

Wow... now that's powerful. That's very, very powerful... and summoning up more images... -fingers itch to write something-

Nah- Your rambling is always very insightful and very entertaining to read, I assure you!

*feels head getting a bit bigger, readies pin* (Really? Where else have you written her? *wants to read!*) I'm really surprised that the picture left such an impact, though!

Ohhh please do.

Hahaha, I think that is really all I do all day--ramble in my head with head canons.

XD Who needs hats? (It's part of a Ranma 1/2 and Hetalia crossover that I have ongoing. Taiwan makes a cameo as one of the few sane individuals.). Your artwork is powerful though. It really is. I only wish I had a quarter of your talent.

^^;; It will be dedicated to you, I promise.

Sounds pretty entertaining to me! Particularly when you share!

I love hats! (Ohhh, that sounds rather interesting! *goes to your fics tag*) Thank you very much. I am really, really still trying to get better, because I am still not quite where I would like to be.

Thank you so much! I am truly honoured and flattered.

Hahaha, oh god, are you serious? (Just yesterday I had a terrible, terrible Cold War head-ramble.)

Nice hats are quite excellent, admittedly...

Actually, I kind of lied. Taiwan will make an appearance once I get around to writing some more chapters for that humor drabble cycle. Just trying to think what mayhem I can cause in the Hetalia verse with the "Curse of the Spring of the Drowned Girl" and all.

Ah... self-improvement is always admirable.

Nothing wrong with that! I've been thinking of the Cold War a lot more often anyways.

They are X3 *collects hats*

Aaah, I see. I read the three chapters you had so far, and they are absolutely hilarious^^/

I looked at my doujin pages from three months ago and screamed, by the way.

I-I thought of Iran coming between their mutually agreed destruction... *cries and huddles in a corner*

Admittedly, I DO have a hard time finding hats because I have a larger skull circumference than most women! >.> Thanks a lot, Dad... (who can't find bike helmets that fit his head).

^^;; I'm glad you think so... I'm not particularly good at humor... Angst and contemplation is more of my specialty than anything else.

O.o Oh dear...

...-blinks- Wow. That's an intriguing thought, honestly. I love the interplay between Russia and America though I've been looking into the Korean War more often than not.

Are you serious O___O I thought my head was pretty big, but turns out I recently got a military hat that won't fit my head...too big.

LOL then we are the same, in a way. One point my friends said to me: "I challenge you to write a fic or draw something where it's fluff and doesn't end up in angst." I failed. There was love but it was still twisted.

Oh man, Korean War...the only thing I know about it is from what I have read from "A Year of Impossible Goodbyes," I feel so unlearned.

I'm pretty serious. >.> Very, very annoying. Which is why I wear soft caps or bucket hats when I choose to wear them. Or men's top hats.

Admittedly, I can write fluff. Diabetes inducing cute fluff. Particularly when it's a couple or pair that I find incredibly adorable. I just find it a lot more fun to write bittersweet or twisted stuff, because it's a lot harder to do it, in a way. It also is a bit more realistic (which says a lot about MY outlook in life...).

"A Year of Impossible Goodbyes" is trauma inducing. I read it when I was 13 and I angsted about it for about a week. Don't worry about it. I didn't know much about the Korean War at all until I was 16!

Oh hay you changed your layout! youkofujima April 27 2009, 17:03:35 UTC
Oh geez. I would hate that, I love hats too much.

For some reason recently I have started to do fluff, but it's Cold War fluff, which means the end game is still awful and full of radioactivity, but at least right now they are snuggling. Bittersweet and twisted stuff is a lot of fun to write, in my opinion, and I have to say that it's much more interesting to see how many layers you can go with it.

God, that book is like..."WHAT THE..." I read it when I was in sixth grade, and before that my thoughts of WWII were: "Poor Japanese people got hit with the atomic bomb!" (Yes, I read "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes" and that was all I knew of WWII pre-sixth grade. *groans at self*)
