Forgot to update. Trial was rescheduled. It will be sometime in '07. His exes lawyer is out of town.
We picked up Connor and Kaylea yesterday. They're grandparents had her. We really really really dislike this. Her grandmother is the worst about brainwashing, manipulation, and lying to get the results she wants. She's the most conniving and devious woman I've ever met.
I knew it was going to be difficult last night.
It appears Connor has gotten better. After all, they do get older eventually and start thinking for themselves. Brainwashing and lying only works for so long.
But Kaylea, poor Kaylea. She was bawling last night and some of the things she said...well, we know it's not coming from her so we're trying to forget what she said. It broke Dev's heart and mine as well.
Dev's staying home with them all today and tomorrow. Wish him luck. I truly hope things are better today for him.
Sometimes I truly fear for Connor and Kaylea and what type of people they'll turn out to be with their grandparents from that side involved. Her mom surely can't be as bad as them.
In other news, I'm giving a big presentation today. Wish me luck! It's only round one of what is sure to be many more rounds to much larger audiences in January.
