Twenty-Twenty --what a bitch
Just when everything was going quite pleasant. As we recover and lick our wounds and attempt to get back on our feet and return to some semblance of normal life...
We find out both of our mothers have Covid now. My step dad is semi retired but works as a cook at a restaurant and his co workers got it, and gave it to him.He passed it to my mom. My parents are both doing okay and they are day 11 now apparently. It's Squid's mom we are worried about. She is not in good health to begin with and just recently had a mental episode(she is bi polar) and I won't even get into that drama. I'm sure she will pull out of it because she is tough.Only time will tell. Up to this point we didn't know anyone who had it personally. At this time they are both okay but I'm thinking about what a bitch this year has been for everyone.
Just trying to stay positive and look forward to next year, and I'm off for another 3 days for my Yule Holiday.
On a more positive note Ella's boyfriend will be joining our family to celebrate Yule this year and it should be interesting considering he was raised a Christian. I'm glad he can think out of the box and support Ella and her family (us) in our choices and way of life.
They have been dating for over a year now, it started long distance when we were in reno and he lives here in Austin ,and he is 2 years older then her. So they met face to face when we moved back. They met through mutual friends.He is a good kid, and we've gotten to know his dad more and we get along, and we've met his mom but his parents are divorced.
It's cute she is so in love. She has already planned out their life together when they are adults. We are all having our dinner here and presents on Monday night.
