5 AM. Giving this whole international flight thing another shot! I was supposed to leave for Madrid yesterday but my connecting flight got pushed back so far due to the weather that I missed my flight to Spain. The rest of the group got there through standby seating on earlier flights when shit started to get delayed. Just me and another girl got left behind. When we get to Spain we have to take a taxi to the bus station and find an express bus to Salamanca. I guess what bums me out more than anything is that I missed the 8 course Spanish dinner and bus ride that I already payed for and have to buy ANOTHER bus ticket. I also missed my placement with the family I'll be living with. So today I fly to Newark, hang in the airport for 12 hours, and then take off for Madrid at night. Adios!
