I went to see Jeff Dunham's show tonight. It was great!
The prices for merchindise not so much. Parking...well, let's just say 'ugh' and not even go there. Seats were great about 12 rows back from the stage (don't even ask how much it cost you don't want to know).
Everyone who follows Jeff Dunham has probably seen Guitar Guy (Brian Haner). He's the guy that plays guitar for Achmed's
Jingle Bombs song. He also, tonight at least, is the announcer for the show. It started with this other guy who plays a trombone. Who's name I didn't catch and had to Google it (Jonathan Arons). It doesn't matter of course, because he's going to be Trombone Guy for the rest of his life now. And, well, he can play and dance. Let's just say that the dancing would have gone over well in any strip joint in the country.
Is it bad I laughed at the signs that asked people not to take pictures or video of the event? They might as well just face the fact that over 90% of the audience is going to have a cell phone that either takes pictures or both pics and video. There's no point in even asking. Most everyone at least wants a picture to prove they were there to see the show. It'd be more realistic to ask that people not post what pics/vids they take. Yes, I realize that's pretty pointless too.
I was a little surprised that Jeff didn't show the puppet in the red dress from the billboards. It didn't matter because the new guy he did bring out was better. :D It was awesome. I can't wait for the show to become available for purchase.
Here's a link to Guitar Guy's song from the show tonight:
Fight at the Waffle House Here's Trombone Guy from a while ago (I don't remember when season three of America's Got Talent aired):
Trombone Guy It was totally worth the money to go tonight. I got a little Peanut doll to go on my desk at work and a couple of t-shirts.
I laughed so hard my throat is sore now.
