Room 407, Sunday afternoon
Angelica sat on her bed, an unhappy expression on her face as she looked down at the letter she'd received yesterday. Emma had decided enough time had passed to cool things down between her and Empath, and now it was time for Angelica to return to the Massachusetts Academy.
For all that she'd protested about being sent away, especially when she hadn't been the one to do anything wrong, Angelica didn't want to go back now. She loved Emma but going to school in Fandom was so freeing. She didn't want to go back to hiding what she was and dealing with students who at best thought she was stuck up, and at worst were like Empath and Roulette and actively bullying her.
But in the end it wasn't her decision. She owed Emma too much, and she'd get better training there on controlling her powers. She had another week in Fandom, and then she'd have to go.
