Skies above Fandom, Tuesday afternoon
Talking to Warren had Angelica feeling a lot less nervous about Fandom and someone finding out what she was . . . and had given her the urge to practice her flying. She went out into the preserve behind the school to change into the uniform Emma had given her (thankfully, it was yellow and red and not Hellion Pink), put her mask on just in case (because maybe there were enough gingers in the island now that no one would automatically realize it was her?), then concentrated on superheating the air around her, generating upward thrust that lifted her into the air.
She was getting better at flying, but take off and landing were still wobbly. Once she was in the air, however, she began to swoop around the island happily. Flying was cool.
