You should listen to They Might Be Giants. Many more people should listen to They Might Be Giants far more often, in my opinion.

Here, have my High School List, since I haven't heard anything new myself in hundreds of years:

They Might Be Giants
The Damned
Moxy Fruvous
The Dead Milkmen

In addition, The album Tomahawk by the band Tomahawk is the true love of my life. I need another copy, as mine appears to be lost.

Then there's "In Kleskavania" by the Plaid-Tongued Devils.

My friend Brian has a couple of good things up at his band's website, or at least he used to. One hopes they are still there. I recommend "Perverse".

Various Mike Patton projects (e.g. Fantomas, Mr Bungle, Faith No More, and the aforementioned Tomahawk) also make me happy.

You will probably hate all of this, as it tends toward the nerd-rock. But I do not know your taste. And, well, you asked.

I too am in the market for new things to listen to, so I shall be watching the recommendations of others.

I've heard two versions of that song, and one of them was one of the songs that had to be played at my wedding reception 'cuz...well, it had to.

I could actually say I listen to too mushc TMBG at this point. I have hundreds of songs they've released under the moniker "TMBG Unlimited". It's bizarre, they do songs under different names in radically different styles. There's one "group" called "Demchuk" that's basically TMBG does a style parody of Tom Waits.
