that question i asked grows more jokingly serious by the dayle_futurismeJanuary 30 2006, 08:33:44 UTC
You know about Saul Williams?
get out .
no i'm serious corey what the fuck
by miraculous coincidence i decided to go to Coney Island.. turns out there was a music festival that day.. and he just happened to go on right as i was there.. i was blown away, by raw drum and bass and lyrics on organic instruments, i think some tables and a drum machine were involved but it was so raw . i went nuts for days trying to buy his album, found it used at Generations. and it came to define this hot muggy summer, i'd listen to it deep in the subway tunnels and the condensed sweat of the tunnels themselves reverberated imagery of that enormous crowd at coney island that day , and walking across the clogged summer streets of 125th street/ harlem, choking on incense and skin. i think those three venues made a great place to appreciate his sound . and music defining yet another era in my life . kudos to trent for hooking up with him.. just like ATR i find some shit on my own and months later find out that its in some way connected to trent reznor . i will never escape
you know, one of my friends i havent really talked to since chris asked me how i could trust 'a stranger' over him . i had no answer .
you should get your hands on saul williams talk to strangers
