i have delved back into anthem by ayn rand. it's hard to believe it has been 3 years since i last read it. many of the things inside it i'll need to hear and hopefully they will help with the onslaught of the next few months and what they have in store for me. brutal is all i have to say at this juncture.
today, directly after work, i headed to the business building and enjoyed a walk/read/photohunt. it was rather cold and just as i was heading back to my transport the sun began to set which only ++good added to the photographs i took. afterwards i ventured to the library for some reading and ended up chatting with raine [via our razrs] for the good part of an hour. during that hour i uploaded said pictures. they are available both at my
moblog and in a
flickr set.
speaking of my flickr and moblog i want to syndicate them here on livejournal. turns out only paid accounts can create syndication feeds and guess what? i do not have a paid account. this is where you, owner of a paid account, come in. you see after a syndicated feed is created it is not owned by anyone, as in no ones name is on it, nor can it be edited. it can only be updated through where the feed is originating [i.e. my flickr and or moblog]. all i really need is someone to put it out there for me. if anyone decides that they would be happy to do so please comment here and let me know before hand.
[edit] my moblog and flickr are now syndicated thanks to
amrassirfalas / kev. i'll post the link to them in my next entry.
i was rereading some of the futurist manifestos i skipped last year and found the most entertaining one.
the manifesto of futurist cooking consisting of :
- "the abolition of pastasciutta, an absurd Italian gastronomic religion"
- "the abolition of volume and weight in the conception and evaluation of food."
- "the abolition of traditional mixtures in favour of experimentation with new, apparently absurd mixtures..."
- "the abolition of everyday mediocrity from the pleasures of the palate."
the 1989 cast recording of "metropolis: the musical" is now available on amazon.com [
here]. this was one of the first things i ever downloaded on my first machine back in '97. i promise it is actually pretty good. that is up until the very end. yes, the ship sinks and jesus comes back.
and as promised for guykudo:
the john titor: time traveler wikipedia entry.
this song has beautiful lyrics.
good luck NYC.
