Saint Patrick's Day
The 17 March is always the day of the year that you can dress in the most sickly concoctions and combinations of green, and chances are that every second person around you will be doing the same, and therefore all strange looks are avoided! I had to head into a rather ghostly Uni for a series of meetings yesterday, and it was quite fantastic to see the few people that were on campus walking around in their green atire. Of course I was included in the festivites, wearing a green dress, green jewelry and green eye shadow.
Unfortunately, as a result of the earthquake, the bar that I normally head to on Saint Patrick's Day, Mickey Finns, is in the centre of town and within the cordoned area. Although a few friends were going to parties that their own friends were throwing, which I was invited to, I decided to have a quite night at home with Damien. However, I did get my baking hat on, and I was rather proud of my creations!
The ones with the choc-hail tops also had bright green sponge!
