hello~ :)

wow it's been a LONG while since i posted my last entry @_@;; it almost feels awkward writing out an entry like this~
but i shall endure, just to update you guys on what's happening in my life. btw even though i dont comment too often, i'm reading every one of your entries! sometimes i dont have the time to comment on everyone, sometimes i'm too lazy [is shot] and sometimes i jsut dont know what to say ._.)/ so forgive my absense please m(_ _)m <-that's Nino's fav emoticon! XD [inner fangirl is still alive]

so yesh, i'm in NY, Manhasset with my aunt's family. She's (or they're) like my second family so i'm very happy to be here :D and especially happy to see my dog again!! minus the part where she thinks im her nanny so whenever she wants something done, she comes to me and whines. Like crazy. She enjoys driving me crazy these days, everyday whining about either 1) she wants food or 2) she wants to take a walk. It's always one of those two. Her life is maddeningly simple -_-;

Yesterday was Independence Day plus the 150th anniversary of Macy's (big department store) so my family and i had lobster for dinner (home-cooked and very delicious but rather messy a job both cooking and eating) went to Manhattan to see the fireworks. Personally i was a bit disappointed because it didnt live up to my standard, which has been ridiculously heightened by my Disneyland experience last summer (or was it World? >_> anyway the one in Florida) and also we arrived very late and didnt get good seats T_T two apartments framed - or rather blocked my view, so i could only see the ones they fired high up in the sky. But there were A LOT of ppl, almost dense enough to believe i was in Seoul or Tokyo XDDD and so many different races of ppl too along with different B.O's i found a bit disturbing! They say New York is not America, it's just New York because of its multicultural-ness. Amidst the varying colour of skin, language and dresses (btw, a lot of ppl dressed up quite nicely since they came out to the street to watch the fireworks after enjoying a romantic dinner at good nearby restaurants, which we should have done! Next year! grr) there was one thing that bound us all together watching the fireworks and that was.... the techonology! Everyone, or nearly everyone, had either their cellphone or camera out and were video recording / taking pictures of the whole thing. LOL and i saw a lot of non-Asian ppl with wayyyy better camera than i had expected. My pride as Asian aka having the most cool toys was xritically hurt. lol. When the celebration was over, everyone that sat out on the streets got up and started making their way back home and oh man. it was a mess. we were having a light shower so most ppl had their umbrellas out, and i had to be extra careful while walking cuz my umbrella i was sharing with my cousin was BIG, and since we're so short, if we held them up high (relatively speaking) so we could let others through, it was the just right height to poke someone in the eye XDDD;;; but the density of the population was so that we didnt even need the umbrella -_-;; the guys (or girls) standing next to you had you covered. And what's more, the police blocked some streets physically with their cars to stop other cars from coming in during the fireworks, and "forgot" to remove it before the mass started to head home, so we had to go around it the looooong way. Moving in a large crowd with having no idea where the street leads to, is a bad idea. It was a very tiring walk but watching models (or at least very pretty girls) kept me satisfied enough to not complain out loud :Db

hmmm so that was a very *short* account of how i'm doing here. ahem. I've been also assisting my aunt and uncle's business by translating their ads from Korean to English [something nice to write down in my resume!] and also as a salesperson. I would go around on foot store to store and actually talk to their manager about my uncle's business - which is ink-refill and toner-remanufacturing. Very eco-friendly and economical as well :D but yesh the scary part is me actually talking to strangers. Me, willingly starting a conversation with a complete stranger in THEIR home environment???? DDDDDDDD: i was going bat-shit crazy. I'M JUST REALLY SCARED OF PPL OK????? but i do agree with my aunt's opinion that it's a vital skill for everyone no matter what they do. So i need to learn it. Fast if possible T_T  ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but its so nerve-wreckinggggggggggggggggggggggg T_T;;;;;;;;;;;;
my other job (yesh i have two or three jobs here however short my stay here is) is tutoring little kids in English and math. This i find very enjoyable! :3 well-paying job i know i can do well. I love kids and the kids i've been meeting here are very nice. No brats ;)
My other other job would be... oh i mentioned this. Being a nanny for my dog. alsdfj;alskdjf;alsdj;fladfj!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (can't you feel the love lol) but also a babysitter for my younger cousins. Like how i had to look over the kids at Arisa's birthday party the very freaking day i flew over. Oh twiggy Arisa says Hi (:D)/ And right now i've been doing the dishes, cooking food and cleaning the house a bit too... i can say that i'm a nanny for these cousins too? lol

What else is there to talk about? oh right. ARGH THATS RIGHT I MISSED CHECKING THE ROSI FOR MY START TIME AND NOW IT WOULDNT SHOW ME WHAT DO I DO HELP MEEEEEEEEE TAT;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

so i got that out. i think im done 'ㅅ'
i shall be returning in... August methinks. Till then, i will go on multiple shopping sprees and buy lots of clothes and shoes concentrate on staying healthy and not gaining weight! My uncle keeps this house very well stocked. With generally fattening but good snacks! D: Why does pasturies have to be so good and so fattening at the same timeeeeee T_T
