How strange.

[a pause]

I'm sure that this isn't how things normally go. I was asleep, and then I awoke here, only to be greeted by a very nervous young woman and told that I am now in "Edensphere".

I was told that everyone can read ( Read more... )

I am employed as a Scavenger. We find things in the Scavenger's Yard, clean them and fix them up, and sell them to the populous.

It is a job that involves hard work and it is occasionally dangerous, but it is rewarding nonetheless.

There are [slight pause, pen taps] creatures of a sort down there, and they are inclined to be somewhat territorial. If one is not prepared for them, or alert to one's surroundings, they could hurt one most grievously.

Ah, I see now.

I wish you the best of luck with them, Fred. It sounds like you're risking your life.

[Even if he didn't really believe in luck. No, he believed in planning, taking opportunities to his advantage.]

I thank you, but I have been working down there for nearly a year now with no mishaps so far. They are quite slow, and it is quite easy for me to run out of their chosen territory before they attack.

Should you venture down there, merely remember to keep your wits about you.
