theme #7 for Naruto's Gaara and Sakura.

He watched as the white powder fell onto the corpses.
The boy wondered if they could feel the coldness of the harmless powder.
“Gaara!”
He responded to his name by looking at the Kohona pink haired ninja. She came up to him, beaten up badly by the conflict. The girl looked around and then gave off a somewhat happy grin.
“You didn’t kill the ones that were with us.”
His only response was to stare at the girl a little longer before looking at the dead bodies again. His arm snaked around her shoulder and pulled her closer so she wouldn’t fall. The actions didn’t surprise her at all, she was somewhat used to his rarely shown kind side.
They both walked away, thinking that the snow would wash away his sins.
