Christmas shopping ALMOST done.

Dec 20, 2004 18:50

Well, it's been quite a busy week. I got most of my Christmas shopping done. I just have to pick up a couple of things at Walmart and I'll be all done. I'm still not really psyched for Christmas, though. This year, the Christmas Spirit fairy didn't smack me over the head like most years, but I think Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be alright. It'll be nice to spend time with the family. And I'm hoping Chris Cringle brings me a PS2. That would rock. This year, my two Christmas heros are the Grinch and Scrooge. Pretty understandable, I guess.

Saturday kicked ass. I saw A Series of Unfortunate Events, which was an amazing movie. I can't wait to read the books. Then we went to McDonalds and made a sculpture, which Lyndsi took a picture of. Later, I had a little party at my house. It was great. Had a bunch of people over, and we drank, talked, and played cards. It was an awesome night. It's been too damn long since I've had a night like that.

I guess I've been starting to feel a little better about my situation with me and Josh. There are a lot of things that make me sad about our relationship ending, but at the same time, I haven't had a huge desire to call him, either. I think I need to start dating again. Josh was my first love. It would be stupid to limit myself to one guy at only 22. It'll probably be much healthier for me if I meet some other guys, perhaps see if I can have another good relationship--maybe even a better one than I had with Josh. It's been over a month. Would it be too soon for me to start dating again?

Now, I suppose I should fill everyone in on my stalker. First off... EW. Yeah, this guy is a weirdo and he freaks me out. He's probably in his mid-forties, and he comes into the museum while I'm working and flirts with me. I guess it's best that I start at the beginning....

A few weeks ago:

It's around 3, and it's only me and a 17 year old girl named Marketta on staff for the rest of the day. This weirdo guy is in the museum with his daughter. I guess this whole thing started when I was talking about my ID badge with my boss. When she left, he walked over, looked at my badge (which is so conveniently placed in front of my boobs... grr), and told me my picture was pretty. I was a little embarassed, but I was polite. Then, I couldn't get rid of him. He kept talking to me. Probably for a good 20 mins or so. He was flirting and trying to find out if I had a boyfriend. Then he started showing me his digital camera, as if I'd never seen one of those before, right! And then, without asking my permission, he just takes my freakin picture! I found out later that it is illegal to take someone's picture without their permission. That makes me feel so much better. *groan*

Eventually, he took off, and neither me nor Marketta saw him for the rest of the day. We were glad to be rid of him, but I was kind of scared to walk to my car alone that day.

Last Tuesday:

So I'm working at the simulator ride, and the guy COMES BACK! I was ready to run to the back room and hide. He comes through the line with his daughter, and as he's walking through, he comes up to me and says "I still have your picture on my camera." EW! WHY does he still have a picture of a complete stranger on his camera from weeks ago??? When he left, I told my boss about it. She mentioned to me that she also saw him at the museum that past weekend, and he had given the security guard a hard time. We both thought it would be the best idea to write him up, and give all of the security guards a description of what he looks like.

Then a couple of days later, Marketta came into work, and she comes up to me saying, "Oh my god, Andrea, I tried calling you over the weekend. That guy was here again!" And I said, "Yeah, Wanda told me he was around here." And then she says to me. "He was here looking for you, saying that he had to get special ink to print out that picture for you." She was saying how he remembered my name and everything! I couldn't believe it. I was in shock. He remembered my NAME? He was looking specifically for ME? He made a trip to the museum and paid admission just so he could find ME? That is CRAZY! What freakin psycho!!! Marketta then told him "Oh her? Oh... um... I think she's quitting." Which of course, isn't true, but with any luck he was buying into it. I guess that didn't matter to him, because he said he would be back trying to find me, which he did, when I saw him Tuesday. WOW. I just can't seem to get rid of this guy!

So yeah, I'm really hoping I don't see him again. Somehow, though, I have a bad feeling that I haven't seen the last of him!

...ew.

So yeah, that's my stalker story.

Now, onto some much better news.

I'M GOING TO SEE JOSH GROBAN LIVE AT TURNING STONE!!!!!! I can't wait!!!

Alright, well, I must get going. I'm about to head over to Jonelle's.

Later.
