I was reading Brandy's entry, not the whole thing mind you, but the part about life and decisions we face and feelings. Well, I felt I had a lot more to say about that than just a comment so...
First off, I want to mention the quote of my life, "Everything happens for a reason" How true is that quote? I mean, pain and hatred don't just occur, they appear to teach us. If we all went through life knowing only what love is and perfection, we would all take it for granted. Pain, fear, hatred, all of those emotions teach us that there is something more, or rather something else,it balances life out. We are put on specific paths in our lives not as punishment or so that we never have to worry about anything, people are not divided into groups which determine their chosen paths. We as individuals choose our own paths, this, I believe, happens because we are aware of choice. We choose our own paths because when we reach a point that is not so great, we will learn from it. It stays in our mind that we chose that path and this is what it led us to therefore we must cope with it. In otherwords, I guess you could call it a consequence. However when we come to the high points on our path, the happiness is immense. Or a reward as we would say. These paths that we walk along are chosen and allow us to walk upon them because they are meant to show us every point in life, so that we can feel everything we can, and so we can gain knowledge about as many things as we can. These paths are meant to shape us.
Brandy was mentioning feeling terror and excitement towards being on her own. Well, for one thing, everyone goes through that. If we didn't feel those feelings it wouldn't be real. The feelings of being on your own are exciting because growing up there were certain things in your life that you wanted to change, but couldn't. Being on your own allows you to live the way you want to. But you also feel terror because you are not used to it. I feel like being exposed to terror is actually a good thing, for this situation. It tends to "keep us in line" I guess you could say. If we are afraid we tend to not be exaggerant or we tend to stay put and secure. By being terrified we, hopefully, won't have as big of a risk to get involved in things that might screw us up. I know this also falls on our own personal decisions and upbringings. But I believe people do in fact change drastically once they are out of their parents or guardians house. Let that fear stay in the back of your mind, but don't let it take over. Theres nothing to be afraid of. We are just scared of the unknown and thats what frightens us but excites us at the same time.
So I guess what Im trying to state is that, our decisions are our own and we make them for a reason. They shape us and prepare us for our next hurdle. As for fear and excitement, well be glad you are feeling those feelings. I am thinking those are going to be the 2 main feelings we will be feeling for the rest of our lives. Everyone will be perfectly fine in life. We will all accomplish what we want to, at different times of course, which we need to keep in mind. Things may not come as soon as we would like them to, ut that doesn't mean they are not coming.
Well, I think I just rambled on for about 10 minutes. I don't even remember what I said. If you can use what I said, feel free to take it, but all in all I think we already know deep down inside the answers to all of our questions. And noone can really tell us these answers. Time. Time is always the solution to finding the answers. Ok, Im gonna go...do something...
Love,
Corinne
