Congrats on acceptance to Acadia and good luck with Dal! So I take it you aren't joining your fellow Wrimos at X? *sadness* I know what you mean about scholarships. It's hard to find a lot when you aren't a member of a visible minority. Take care!

X's Computer Science program isn't recognized by CIPS :o So sadly, no. Halifax still isn't all that far away from Antigonish, though. I might show up at some point.

The college I went to was an historically black college. I called the financial aid office about scholarships, gave them my scores and my GPA an was told "As long as you are African American, we will have something for you." I am not African American. I never got a scholarship, though I did get a grant for being poor.

My guidance counselor's office ran an application through a database for me. There were some possibles, but the one I remember most was that there was a scholarship for natural redheads. Oy.

You should've dyed your hair and Photoshopped some old pictures, lol.
It irks me so much when they say things like that. Can you imagine the uproar that would happen if a guidance counselor was to say "As long as you're white"? It would be madness.
