StellarCon 2008

So yeah, I could do that every weekend. Except for the 10 hours driving. That I could do without.

Hooray for running into Bowen and Jeff and Ken and Becc again, mostly on accident! Hooray for Jon and Ruby and Beth and everyone else hanging out until 3am and laughing through our semi-delirious sleep-deprived state, and enjoying everyone's company!

Boo for Sleep Number Beds, as this marks the second time I have had one in a hotel, and the second time I couldn't sleep on it, no matter what setting I tried out. I got more sleep on the car on the drive back than I did at night on those *&$# beds.

Serenity made. I was surprised by that, as it was Session 1 and there were two competing games, but it worked. Little Fears did not. There were a lot of Session 2 games that didn't. I guess people registered and checked in during that slot instead.

Albedo went very well, with a few new players, one of whom had a dash cunning idea, and one of whom annoyed everyone else at the table. It happens. Tried a new and awesome game called Ganakagok, which everyone should play (even you non-gamers out there.) Finally played a real and true Spirit of the Century game, which was a lot of fun.

The Dr. Who game, to be honest, wasn't all that. It just felt over-written. Not much wriggle room, and paced a little strange. Maybe there were too many players, or something. I don't know. Still it was fun to play the crazy cryptologist, and I did bring my scarf.

Came home to a mess. Our apartment still hasn't been cleaned after the leak. It would be nice to get on with our lives...

And I have one final (for now) sticker being printed before I can re-assemble the cabinet and get back to computing. Wheeee!
