A fine felt hat

I made a hat for my new Harlequin outfit. I dunno when I'm gonna get to wear it, but it's made. I'm still thinking on what to do about the boots. I'd like to put different buckles on them, but I'm not sure that's feasible. And they definitely need soles ( Read more... )

Well, having my copy of the rulebook and having created some sample characters in preparation for tonight's game, I can tell you that the game system is simply brilliant. The system uss the roll of 2D10 + Attribute or Skill versus a Difficulty set by the GM or using one of the established Difficulty Ratings (-, 11, 14, 16, 20+). Modifers get applied, of course, but a lot of the time dice rolling isn't necessary.

The entire game rules, covering the Game Mechanics and Character Generation run from page 79 to 195, including write ups on all things character creation (the game rules go from page 79 to 118) of a 392-page rulebook. Everything else is the game world and the like, and some interesting, interesting sections on the Neo-Victorian society and culture, with tantalizing bits about the Wastelands outside of London and the rest of the world.

The combat and conflict rules are very simple, and yet complex enough to be brutal, lethal, and vicious, as combat a la Victorian should be. :) Very good stuff.

How's that for an endorsement? :)
