★RULES
1. Absolutely no god-modding, meta-gaming, OOC (out of character) drama, or OOC drama bleeding into IC (in character) play. Reasonable (ie: no surprise pregnancies or character deaths) IC drama is fine, after all, we do know which nations have a bit of a grudge against who!
2. Respect, maturity, common sense, and common courtesy to all players is absolutely necessary and expected. whiteflagmain is meant to be a laid-back and fun game that reflects the comedic, light nature of Hetalia by series as well. That being said, the overall "rating" for the community stands at PG-13. More explicit material should be discussed and carried out in the the privacy of the players & characters involved.
3. And while world history isn't exactly light and fun, for the purpose of at least community interactions, dark/heavy topic discussion of religion, politics, war, or other triggering/seriously offensive material is prohibited. Use your common sense here! If anything uncomfortable is seen or reported to the mod, the matter will be dealt with. The first time will warrant a warning; repeat offenses could lead to either more warnings or player removal and/or ban.
Any issues that cannot be resolved peacefully between players are more than welcomed to be brought up to the mod for intervention.
4. whiteflagmain is currently only accepting canon characters that have been officially introduced/appeared in the web comic and/or anime. No OCs, gender-switches or ancient empires (ie: Holy Roman Empire, Germania, Rome). We also suggest that it would probably easier if you tried to pick up characters that already have a decent amount of background information to work with.
If there's a character on the claim list that happens to be missing that you believe fits the necessary qualifications, please bring it up with the mod for discussion!
5.Players are allowed to take up at least two characters. Please be mindful and considerate of this rule, seeing as how this is a player anonymous game, we can't exactly keep track of this! In order to respect the anonymity part, please make sure IP Logging is turned off in your character journals. Simply go to Account > Click on the "Privacy" tab > Change IP Address Logging to "nobody."
6. Know your nation (and their history)! We don't expect you to be aware every single detail, but we do hope that you'll use material that has already been pointed out in the web comics/anime in combination with present day material (ie: Japan winning the 2011 Women's World Cup, defeating the United States) to work with in playing and developing your character. Try to talk and interact with everyone! Scening/roleplaying through AIM or by any other means as convenient for the players involved is also strongly encouraged. You'll receive in this experience exactly what you put out!
7. All drops (so sorry to see you go, but we understand!), hiatuses (which should include a time frame that can't be any longer than one month--thirty one days maximum to make it fair for everyone), or any other OOC content should be posted to whiteflaguber while claims, activity check posts, and other IC posts, should be restricted to whiteflagmain or personal character journals.
8. For practicality purposes, the default language expected to be utilized game-wide will be English. Be mindful of both your spelling and grammar. However, a character is more than welcomed to, for example, make snide remarks in Italian or tease in French. Culture clashes definitely make up half the fun!
9. As proof of having read the rules, in your claim/self-introduction, please mention somewhere, "My favorite food is___________" (Fill in the blank!) If you do forget, we'll give you a friendly nudge to return here to see what you're missing!
Failure to follow to any of the rules will lead to a warning the first offense, and for repeated offenses, depending on severity, will either lead to several more warnings or player removal/ban.
