Android!
Following Hetza's post I had recently obtained an Android phone, the Motorola Milestone. Now you may ask as I used to work for them why I would get it. Seeing the reviews and seeing as I still have lingering loyalty to the company I had looked around for a non Apple smartphone product and pretty much fell on this one. It is cheap (~300 GBP) and the physical keyboard was a nice thing to have as well. The form of the phone is also a combination of style and sturdiness.
Only major downside was that it was not available for purchase in Australia and I had to buy it from the UK. Also I had to add in the APN (access point name) to access the 2.5G and 3G networks but besides that I'm happy with what I have.
At work, two friends looked at the phone and both enjoyed it and were amazed by it. One whom was wanting an iPhone is looking into the Milestone and the other thinks it is a good competitor for it.
