attraction exhausts
Theres so many painful and complicated things attached to romance and attraction, dating, lust, companionship, love etc. It would be very freeing to not have those deeply ingrained impulses for a while.
Nuns and priests create a lifestyle free from pursuing a romantic partner, but really can never truly supress the source, they just try. I would like to have the option, long enough for it to naturally stall and be centered.
Animals act from instinct and emotions. Machines operate from codes and hard logic. As humans we are wired with both worlds. Logic can be used to calm the sources of attraction to a degree, but instinct has a way of announcing itself without warning.
