If you're even reading.. I was wondering if I could please have a pack of tarot cards?

I've asked this to a few people here before, but I'm curious as to what other opinions there may be. Pardon me for any redundancy on my part ( Read more... )

That is a pretty common question, but there's all sorts of answers for it. Everything just depends on how you define 'Fate'. Is it something that controls everything or is it something that just plans everything out; even other possibilities.

How would you define it?

The easiest way is by just calling Fate the 'path' that a person is meant to take. If, of course, you believe that.

I'm not sure what I believe, yet.

And with that definition, you believe one could stray from the path?

This is where is get's specific. Some people can answer that yes, you can stray from the path.

Others will tell you that you straying from that path was planned out all along. It depends on what type of person someone is.

Hmm.

Let's say, you know your future and how it's already played out, but have yet to actually live it yourself?

Well. That depends. Are you sure this future is really going to happen?

A few you know have lived it, and have told you so.

[...] All said theoretically, of course.

In that case, consider yourself lucky. If Fate is a path, then you just got an alternate route. It's a chance to change things. Though sometimes changing things does make it worse.

[Of course, all Theoretically.]

Lucky?

That... really isn't something I'd considered before.

Well, you know not everyone gets a chance to know what's going to happen. For better or for worse; human nature will always want to see what might happen.

You're right...!

That's a much better way to look at things!

Of course. Optimism helps in any sort of situation.

This is just theoretical though, since Fate hasn't actually been proven.

Which is yet another conundrum in itself, I suppose.

Only for the scientifically minded. If real means concrete , unarguable evidence; then things like Fate are hard to accept.

I wish I was more of the scientifically minded, then.
