Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! I hope you have a nice one, circumstances aside.
[...] While I don't... wish to be a downer on anything, I feel now is as good as time as it ever will be to summarize what happened last winter in this place, for all of those that are new and unfamiliar with it. Fortunately, it's not guaranteed what once happened will happen again, but at least it's a heads-up... Of sorts.
[steady breath!] Ah... Around early February, a large blizzard hit the city. Contact with the scientists appeared to be lost, as they were no longer restocking food, nor bringing people back to life. Most edible monsters began to disappear due to the cold. And due to this, many starved or froze to death. [or just citizens having been eaten by other citizens. though not exactly voicing that.] There was a large power outage, while the hospital caught fire and burned. Half the windows in Horton blew out. The water pipes in Marshall burst, causing a flood which then froze over. Roofs collapsed from the weight of the snow, and the wind was so strong that a building was knocked into Latimir, causing much of it to be... well, destroyed. This situation lasted for several days.
[also, KITTENS DIED. but that's way too depressing to add.]
So.. yes! Please take advantage of things while you can, if this were to happen again. I'd hope we could be better prepared this time around, even if it were minor. Thank you for listening! [even if you... didn't.]
