Went to Midnights for Maniacs in SF last night with Luke. Saw: Cloak & Dagger; The Karate Kid; Red Dawn; The Pope of Greenwich Village, and Streets of Fire. All of them are from the summer of 1984, and they got better as the night went on. Greenwich village was probably my favorite, then Streets of Fire just becuase it was so ridiculous. Most of those movies were sort of ridiculous, plenty of impossible feats of strength during fights (and in Streets of Fire the good guy and the bad guy had a duel with hammers), and some bad acting, and cheesy emotional moments. It was pretty good, though, all said. I'd definitely do it again.
I ended up crashing at Luke's house because the trains stop running at midnight, and came home early this afternoon to watch some more movies. Might go with Yvonne to something tonight. Might also take a nap. I'm afraid I wasn't as good of company last night as I could have been at two thirty in the morning, because I was so tired.
