Janitor/Office log [action]

So Raiden's a pretty busy guy, eh. Does what a janitor does and doesn't afraid to has... many offices? You may find him often times poking in and out of the various storage rooms and supply closets on campus, in bathrooms, and empty classrooms cleaning, fixing light bulbs and doing minor repairs. Sometimes he likes simply walking around campus ( Read more... )

"Hello Raiden!" a cheerful voice squeaked as she came in with a small tray of muffins in her hands. "Happy unbirthday!"

"Huh?" Raiden whirled around at the cheerful voice as he finished ducktaping up the corners of a large brown box. A visitor, oh boy! How'd she get in here?

"Hi... uh... I don't think we've met?"" ...Boy those muffins smelled good. And... what was that about an unbirthday? Weird girl...

"No we haven't," Arceus confirmed, setting the muffins down on one of the cardboard boxes, before throwing herself on another, sitting with her legs crossed Indian style.

"But you were totally going to totally tell me your name now!" she explained.

Raiden stalled for a minute, unsure what to think of the girl as she made herself at home. "...was I now?" Weird. Cute, but mostly weird.

He eyeballed the muffins again and smiled, "Did you make those?"

"Totally! Well Nancy helped me too. He really seems to like me a lot!" She rested her hands on her chin, looking at him intently.

"Try one!"

If you insist~ It was only after one of the muffins was well already on it's way into his mouth did he stop and consider the fact that Nancy helped make them...

...which in retrospect didn't really do much to stop Raiden. Nancy was a damn good cook, ok? And these were damn good muffins.

To which, Raiden had to express, even with a mouth full of muffin, "Reaffly good." He hurriedly swallowed so he could better ask to whom he owes his thanks to, "What's your name, kid?"

"Bob Heather Arceus!" she replied, changing positions so her legs could dangle from the box she was sitting on. She pointed to something in the back. "That sleeping bag is pretty radical!"

Weird name to match, but that was okay. It wasn't like she--wait.. how did she know about his super amazing awesome Tauntaun sleeping bag?! Was he being spied on?

He... figured even if she was spying on him or something he could play along. If nothing else then for the sake of conversation. "Star Wars fan, huh?"

"Sure do! I loved all three of the first ones! I totally saw them on the big screen too!" As if that got her to suddenly remember something, she began to hum a song, moving her head to the beat, and before long Bob was tapping on the cardboard box with her legs.

It was easy to get her started.

Oh no.

It was.

That theme. Unmistakable. Gets stuck in your head so easy but it's so catchy you don't even care. Raiden felt absolutely compelled against his will to also hum along... only it wasn't... against his will. He felt very silly but decided he didn't care after joining in with her.

So after they hummed a verse or two [Raiden occasionally adding to it with a tap of his foot] he burst into a small chuckle. "That's the theme the Modal Nodes play when Luke and Obi-Wan enter that bar on Tatooine in Episode four." What a nerd, Raiden.

"You like Star Wars!" she exclaimed happily.

There was a pause.

"Which one was better, original or totally revamped version?"

"Oh, the originals, by far! They're classics."

He took another bite out of the muffin and decided to take a seat on an empty box across from her. "The special effects in the new ones are cool and all but they loose that vintage early 80's touch, you know?"

"Totally!" she agreed. "I mean, Lucas can do what he wants since they are his films, but I really loved the stop-motion rancor!" And she was off. "Did you know that, originally, it was totally going to be a guy in a suit, but that proved to be too difficult so they used a puppet instead?"

Oh shit, it as getting nodey nerdy in here. "Yeah! They used puppets for a lot of things. I can't imagine the puppet Yoda doing all the back flips he did in Episode one though. That was pretty cool."

"I think you mean episode two against Count Dooku." she corrected. "I guess computer graphics have their place in movies, but imagine if they could have pulled that off with a puppet! That would have been amazing!"

....what. WHAT. What was that?! Did someone just... correct him?

...oh shit she was totally right. "He also fought against Palpatine in episode three." Raiden mumbled, brushing off he just got corrected by a young girl on geeky sci-fi movie trivia.

"That would have taken some skilled puppeteers." He managed a chuckle. Bob was no Rosemary, that was for sure. "It's even easier to rig something like that for a video game."
