Graduation's right around the corner, huh? Just remember not to make too big of a mess after the dance or trash the place. I'm the one that gets stuck cleaning it up

You know what we don't have nearly enough of? THESE GAYS.miss_dreavusMay 23 2011, 02:40:21 UTC
Date and Relative time: Late afternoonish on the 24th Where: In a sexy supply closet. Mmm baby gimme more of that musty old chemical smell. Open or Closed?: Open.
Somebody was in a supply closet. Waiting. Needing keys didn't apply to those who could float through doors, but hopefully Raiden wasn't expecting that.
Give me ALL THE GAYS.whitedeviljackMay 23 2011, 03:31:01 UTC
Well Raiden needed keys and the sound of a jingling set would alert the ghost Pokemon to his presence. Footsteps coming closer and shuffling around the door, the metal scraping against the pins of the lock, and slowly, light creeping into the closet as he opened the door...
No. You can only have some of them.miss_dreavusMay 23 2011, 03:38:25 UTC
and then a skeleton popped out.
Blacky hadn't paid any mind to how long she'd been waiting in the closet - it couldn't have been longer than half an hour - but when she heard the telltale jangling of the keys she knew it was all about to pay off. She hung back, keeping herself concealed in the darkness until the door opened enough for her to see his face...
Then she leapt at him with a loud scream, careful not to actually touch him. Only almost.
Why you gotta be like that babe.whitedeviljackMay 23 2011, 03:41:23 UTC
DADDY.
Raiden was a pale guy already, but any color had been completely drained out of his face in a second as he screamed and stumbled backwards. WHAT WAS THAT. SOMETHING TRYING TO EAT HIS FACE. In less than a second he had his back to the opposite side of the hallway, and hands in front of him in a quasi-kung-fu pose.
It's a tough love.miss_dreavusMay 23 2011, 03:47:11 UTC
Fortunately, the thing in front of him was too preoccupied with laughing to try to eat his face. Not to mention she was very satisfied with the meal he'd just provided.
The reaction was immediate; red cheeks in .25 seconds and a mouth that went dryer than a desert. He frowned, aware such a reaction was obvious, and tried to make it less so.
"I'm..." He cleared his throat. "...Glad I could be of service."
"Mm, it certainly was a pick-me-up after everything that's been going on lately. Team Rocket being in the city, all the stress of graduation coming up..." Finally remembering us when you can't... She let her hand hover around his collar for a moment, wanting to straighten it out or something to keep her fingers busy, but it seemed a little inappropriate given the situation. Instead she withdrew her hand to brush her bangs behind her ears.
"Do you... Remember anything about the proms here?"
"Yeah, all that..." Raiden had tried to keep his nose out of all that stuff. The mentions of Team Rocket in particular seemed to strike a chord somewhere in him... he just couldn't remember exactly what other than it brought on particularly negative feelings. Personal hurt. When she withdrew he subconsciously finished the action and straightened his own collar.
"Um, bits and pieces. Sable must of done my tux last year because it's still here in my closet, with her insignia on it."
Oh, good. Even Blacky was still trying to work out the finer details of just what went on last year, but she remembered enough to know that it was terrible and heartbreaking and she did something stupid to drive Raiden off for a month. Actually going to prom was probably going to fill in the blanks, unfortunately.
...What if something so simple as wearing the tux reminded Raiden, too? AAAAAAAAAH.
"Ah... If you go again this year, perhaps you should wear something a little different. Last year's dance wasn't all that great. Besides, I was just thinking that white would look stunning on you."
Shoot. She hadn't taken Sable into account. That wasn't very fair. Besides, the prom itself would probably trigger more memories than the suit.
"Well, that's only if you were planning to go. I mean, it's bound to be just as dreadfully boring as last year, and I heard some people not attending were planning to watch movies instead. You enjoy movies, don't you?"
"Of course I do." This was a life-long love instilled in him, FOR BETTER OR WORSE. "I guess. I'd still have to clean up after it's over but..." What was wrong with Blacky? She was acting kind of... weird. Did she want to go see a movie?
The idea of being IRRESPONSIBLE for one evening and doing something that made him happy certainly sounded very appealing. Raiden worked long and hard as the janitor and rarely ever got any thanks or recognition for it. His ability to complain forever on the subject was testament to that.
It did bring up the question of what, then. He'd have to give himself some direction and purpose and he was never terribly good at that. "Would you want to come with me?"

"What sort of pose is that?"

"It's nothing." He grumbled. "You scared me."

She grinned and brushed a finger under his chin. "How can I resist when you taste so good?"

"You really think so? I'd have to ask Sable to make one right away so it could get done in time."

OH NO, WHAT IF HE FORGOT HIS LOVE OF MOVIES.

"Who was? You mean Nayru and Goose and all them?"

As long as those somethings didn't involve ABANDONMENT and ANGST.
