004 - Lover
A lover!
Her husband had a lover!
At first, all it had been were just rumours. Then, Yura caught a glimpse of this strange phantom. Confronting her husband only solidified the assumption. Upon confronting her husband, Sesshomaru, she also learned that the name of this lover was Kagome. Further interrogation led her to know that she was of such low social standing that she was bereft of a last name.
What shame Sesshomaru had bestowed on his kingdom, especially now that his lover was with child. She prayed every day for the soul of her husband and the lands, knowing that his lover must be some witch intent upon damning the souls of innocents.
When she brought this up with her husband, he laughed at her.
And when he shared it with Kagome, she laughed too.
A month later, the lands were grieved to know that Lady Yura had committed suicide. She had written in a note that she would not live on and know that every day, one more soul was damned forever because of Kagome.
Though it was awful, Kagome and Sesshomaru did share a laugh over this. How crazy could one become because of a simple lover?
