It's a brisk, sunny day in North Carolina today. A perfect Sunday. The morning brings slowly awakening people, hot coffee and plans for the day ahead.

And...pancakes.

Aeryn actually wakes up earlier than normal, probably due to paranoia that John might get into trouble for this. She would really love to go a weekend without causing problems for him. She pulls herself closer to him, murmuring, "John?"

Aeryn's more curious about comparing this one to the kinds Fandom has than anything. Because after all, Fandom doesn't seem to do things in the normal way. She does up her coat, wondering if it's okay that it's the leather one and relaxing a little when she sees others wearing them, too.

After a long day at the carnival, John and Aeryn dropped the big teddy bear off at his dad's house and John took the old truck and drove himself and Aeryn to a secluded, open field.

He laid some heavy blankets in the cab of the truck and told her to come back in the back with him.

Aeryn climbs in the back, sitting mostly comfortably on the blankets. "Where are we?" she asks, in case there's some significance she's missed.

It's later when they get back to the house, saying hello to Jack before bedtime. Aeryn's back in John's room, not at all asleep, and today she's waiting for him to show up.

It takes John a few minutes to get up there, having chatted quietly with his father for awhile. He slips inside the door, loses his shirt at the door and crawls into bed with her.
