John hangs up with Aeryn, grabs the sea monkeys and heads out the door. Of course, in doing so, he forgot his shoes and socks so he's barefoot and grinning.

He knocks on Aeryn's door.

"Special delivery!"

Aeryn opens the door, not thinking to look at his feet because they're his feet. "Hi," she says, and lets him and the sea monkeys in.

As he's coming by, he leans in and kisses her cheek before coming the rest of the day into the room.

He sets the sea monkeys on the desk.

"There we are."

She closes the door, coming over to look in on the sea monkeys, because she really hasn't been paying enough attention to them. She runs her finger over the side of the tank, not that they ever notice. They're already bored with her. It's an easy relationship.

She looks back up at John. "So my detention is funny."

He grins again. "Kind of, yeah. It's sorta funny."

"Honey." He grins again. "You'll survive. And, while I'm sleeping in, I'll keep your spot warm."

"But you wouldn't," he says. "Because you missed me and I'm all nice and warm."

"No." He steps closer and hovers around her face. "But I bet you're thinking it."

"I'm a good guesser." He comes closer, rubs her cheek with his nose before pulling away. "Did I guess right?"

She forces herself not to put her arms around him, and replies, "It would be too easy if I told you."

"That right?" And he teases some more, nipping lightly at her bottom lip but keeping hands and everything else perfectly still. "Sometimes easy's good."

She's still not giving, even if she really wants to. "You're not getting easy right now," she assures him.

"Who said I wanted easy right now?" Another nip and this time, he holds on, tugging her bottom lip between his teeth before licking the area to soothe.
