John's going for a low key Valentine's Day. No fancy clothes, no candelit dinner. Nope, just a quiet night on the couch or bed or some other comfortable place.

There's a few gifts and some chips but he just wants to be with Aeryn tonight.

Aeryn pauses outside the door for a moment, because she doesn't know whether John's inside or not, but once she steps inside she has to start pretending that everything's okay. And she's never exactly had to be a great actress. She just really, really does not want to do this right now.

So when she steps inside and finds him there, she manages a smile and says, "Hey," closing the door behind her.

"Hey!" John smiles brightly from his position on the couch. "Happy Valentine's Day and stuff! Have a good day?"

"It was a day," she says, taking her time in taking off her boots at the door. "What did you get turned into today?"

"Dog," he says, laughing. "Talked to Vladdie and his imaginary friend."
