Yay new releases! Still a poor week for both singles and albums though, and Akimoto Junko finally gets her no.1 which is kind of creepy seeing how similar the path she's taking to Akikawa Masafumi/Sugimoto Masato. Still, the quality last week is very good and I like most songs in the singles! :)

Selected songs of the week:

"Velonica" by Aqua Timez - One of the best Bleach OP ever, IMO, besides their very own ALONES, UVERworld's D-technoLife, H&MC's Ichirin no Hana, and OR's Asterisk! XD

"2C me no Kanojo" by SID - Another good and infectious single coming out after the success of the previous ones! :)

"Tabidachi no Uta" by AAA - I think this is a wonderful single for AAA. They got a good mix in the bag with this one, as I also like the other songs in the single as well! :)

"Bye Bye" by misono - This is in Mai Satoda's single. Really, I have nothing against Satoda, I just prefer misono singing the song. XD

"GALAXY" by BUCK-TICK - This is quite fast, another single from them! I'm not complaining though :)

"Anata MAGIC" by monobright - Fun, fun, fun! :)

"WORK THAT" by TERIYAKI BOYZ feat. PHARRELL & CHRIS BROWN - They got Chris Brown on this one???

"Pride ~Part of Me~ feat.SRM" by Stephanie - Love the orchestra sound in this!

"Futashika Tashika" by GO!GO!7188 - Fun and lively, one of my favourites from last week! XD

Only MU this time, MF is not co-operating with me today! :(

And I totally forgot to post this one before it began!

HINA, GANBATTE! XD

Btw, newspapers today reported that Kami no Shizuku will be the last NTV dorama in Tuesday 10pm slot. That was pretty short-lived, only like 2 years after the slot began.

Average ratings for dramas in Tuesday 10pm timeslot, NTV:

Oh! My Girl!! - 7.5%
Gakkou ja Oshierarenai! - 6.4%
Osen - 9.1%
Binbo Danshi - 11.6%
Yukan Club - 12.63%
Tantei Gakuen Q - 11.2%
Sexy Voice and Robo - 7.4%

Basically, Yukan Club was the most successful, but half of these dramas didn't even make it past 10%. Kami no Shizuku is doing poorly, with episode 2 only managing 7.3%. I think the station wanted to revive the slot by getting Kame to star in it but as it's turning out, the boy himself has lost his TV-star power. NTV cited that the slot was losing direction and target audience (low ratings play a big part in this I believe) as compared to Wednesday dramas which cater to working women (Kiina's 1st episode flew off with a respectable 16.5%!) and Saturday dramas which cater to young audience. It would be a pity for idol-loving dorama watchers though, because Tuesday timeslot really brings about lots of them in the leads.
