Powerful and moving

The three of them are so deep in love. Both Peter's trap and Neal's were horrific. I found it very touching that Elizabeth would not choose between them and go on either search boat. Neal's struggle to escape from the chair and Peter's musing as he held onto his life were riveting.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't have any idea how I was going to work that whole thing out. I just knew that the only way that Peter would let Neal go down with the ship would be if he was down, too. The whole harpoon-a-fed thing was literally the last thing to come to mind. And, I knew that El could never choose. She might have loved Peter longest but she loved Neal a hell of a lot, too, and knew that she couldn't stand it if he thought otherwise. Her heart was just pulled in two different directions and dozens of pieces all at once. Damn it, Kate.

Wonderful story, you've written the different POV's so well. Love how close Peter and Elizabeth have become to Neal.

I'm glad I managed to do the various POV's adequately. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to. In fact, my original plan was to stick with Neal's POV, until I realized being stuck in a boat sort of put a damper on one's observation skills.
